Michael Geissinger

About me: I grew up in central Wisconsin and went to school at Iowa State University, where I graduated in 2019. Now, I live and work in Northwest Wisconsin as an agronomist.

Why did you get involved with Even Now Catholic? I have been involved with Even Now Catholic with its founding board members since 2022, when I held onto a hope that there are real opportunities for young adults to make a positive impact on the Catholic Church and grow in relationship with God. Our mission has transformed and adapted, as we have continued to discern where God is calling us to work. Though it can be challenging at times, it has also been a very rewarding experience.

The namesake for Even Now Ministry is from Joel 2:12, which says, “Even now, says the Lord, return to me with your whole heart...” In a sentence, what stands out to you from this verse? The words “Even now” speak to my heart the most because each present moment, even the most difficult or isolating one, is an opportunity to return to the Lord with our whole hearts, to be welcomed by Him, and to be continually renewed with fresh graces that draw us into deeper union with God and each other.

What are your hobbies? Pretty much anything outdoors: hiking, backpacking, kayaking, fishing, hunting, walking, bicycling, and cross country skiing. I also enjoy hanging out with friends at a craft brewery or coffeeshop, growing plants, baking, listening to music, and watching solid movies or tv shows from time to time, especially comedy! Recently, I've also delved into charcoal drawing.
